As soon as I found out I was having a baby girl, I went shopping for inspiration here (I dare you to find a more inspiring place!), and walked out with three fabric samples.
Those scraps of fabric embodied everything I wanted to create in our babygirl's nursery: beautiful colors, girly but not babyish and playful. A room to grow up and grow into. The fabric samples went everywhere with me, and I consulted them when decisions had to be made on paint, furniture & decor elements.
Fast-forward to today when I was sitting on the floor of babygirl's nursery playing with her... I remembered those fabric samples and a frame I had lying around, so I decided to make a quick piece of art for her gallery wall. As much as those scraps of fabric meant to me before she got here, I thought they'd make a fun wall hanging, and they can always be swapped out later if the mood strikes.
It was an easy project:

The gallery wall is a constantly evolving project, and I rather like the way it's shaping up!
I love it. Your baby has a very creative mom. Your creativity will only inspire her to be creative.
